Homeserve Apps are intended for individuals aged 18 years or older.

To comply with Google Play’s Data Safety requirements, Homeserve provides a detailed explanation of how and why permissions are used across all three of our mobile applications: Homeserve User, Homeserve Provider, and Homeserve Serviceman.
Homeserve only requests permissions that are necessary for the proper functioning of the apps. We never collect or share personal data without your explicit consent. Below is a detailed description of each permission and its purpose.
The INTERNET permission allows our apps to connect with Homeserve servers, APIs, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and secure third-party services such as maps and payment gateways.
This permission is essential for all app functionalities — including login, booking, notifications, and data synchronization. The app cannot operate without internet access.
The ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permission allows the app to detect an approximate location of the user or service provider.
This helps in showing nearby available services, estimating arrival times, and improving local service recommendations.
It is optional and can be turned off in the device’s permission settings.
The ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION permission provides precise GPS-based location data.
This is used for accurate service booking, live job tracking, and navigation during service visits.
The permission is requested only when location-based features are used and requires explicit user consent before activation.
The ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission is used (implicitly through the connectivity_plus library) to detect whether your device is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
This helps the app handle offline behavior, reduce data usage, and ensure smoother user experience.
No personal data is collected or transmitted through this permission.
These permissions allow the app to read from or write to your device’s storage.
They are used only for downloading service reports, invoices, or uploading documents and images such as ID proofs or service photos.
Homeserve requests access only when you perform an action that requires it, and you are always prompted before granting this permission.
The CAMERA permission is required to capture photos for specific purposes such as profile pictures, identity verification, and proof of completed service tasks.
This permission is mainly used in the Provider and Serviceman apps.
It is only activated when you choose to take a picture, and you must explicitly grant access before use.
The RECORD_AUDIO permission may be used in future updates to enable voice or video communication features between users and servicemen.
If implemented, this permission will only be requested with your explicit consent and will be clearly explained before activation.
The POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) allows the app to send you real-time updates such as booking confirmations, job status alerts, or promotional messages.
Notifications can be disabled at any time through your device’s notification settings.
The WAKE_LOCK permission ensures that your device stays awake temporarily while receiving important messages or processing background downloads (for example, through Firebase services).
It does not access or store any personal information and is only used to maintain app reliability.
The QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission, if ever used, allows the app to detect installed payment or sharing apps (like Google Pay, PhonePe, or WhatsApp) for deep linking or secure payment verification.
This permission is used only in the User App and is never used for tracking or profiling user behavior.
The VIBRATE permission enables vibration feedback for important events such as new bookings, incoming messages, and alerts.
This enhances user experience and can be controlled directly through your device’s sound and vibration settings.
Homeserve never collects or accesses your SMS, call logs, contacts, or stored photos.
Microphone and camera access are used only when you grant permission.
All permissions are requested for functional purposes — not for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
